Printing Only Selected Pages

Summary: Only want to print a part of your worksheet? Excel allows you to specify specific pages you want to print. This tip explains how you do this. (This tip works with Microsoft Excel 97, Excel 2000, Excel 2002, and Excel 2003.)

Excel provides several controls that help you control exactly what you print. Normally when you print, you would print the entire worksheet. However, Excel allows you to specify that only specific pages of the worksheet be printed. This comes in handy if you have used Print Preview to look at your worksheet, and you determine that you don't need all the pages that Excel would otherwise print. To print only selected pages, follow these steps:

  1. Choose Print from the File menu. You will see the Print dialog box. (Click here to see a related figure.)
  2. To the right of the Pages control, indicate the page numbers that you want to print.
  3. Click on OK.

Tip #3241 applies to Microsoft Excel versions: 97 | 2000 | 2002 | 2003
